Brother Phap Dung, bergabung sebagai monastik pada 4 Februari 1998 di Plum Village Prancis. Beliau juga mantan Kepala Wihara Deer Park Monastery di California pada 2001 hingga 2010.
Beliau banyak memimpin retreat di Amerika, Eropa, Hong Kong, Tiongkok, hingga India.
